Taruga Minerals Limited has confirmed a new high-grade gold-copper outcrop at the Uaroo Ridge prospect, returning up to 1.4 g/t gold and 4.3% copper from sampling within the Gascoyne province of Western Australia.

New soil and rock chip sampling across the Uaroo East project (E08/3734) has defined a 500-metre northeast-trending mineralised zone that crosses the existing one-kilometre WNW-ESE structural trend. Assay results from the central outcrop included sample UARK042 at 1.4 g/t gold and 4.3% copper, alongside sample UARK043 at 0.5 g/t gold and 2.6% copper and sample UARK041 at 0.4 g/t gold and 2.4% copper.

The newly identified northeast trend extends the known mineralised footprint beyond the original corridor, establishing a second structural direction for regional target generation across the tenement package. The Uaroo Ridge prospect is situated approximately five kilometres north of the company’s Thowagee gold and base metal prospect.

The broader Uaroo East project area encompasses historical mining sites, including Uaroo-Hill and Donelly-Kooline, which historically produced lead, silver, gold, and copper.

Following a systematic review of its Gascoyne exploration licences, Taruga has relinquished licence E08/3733 in full, alongside partial areas of E08/3245 and E08/3734, to concentrate exploration activities on retained priority ground.

“We first flagged Uaroo Ridge as a priority target during our maiden reconnaissance, with malachite and chalcopyrite visible in surface outcrop. This new soil and rock chip work has now confirmed a second, cross-cutting NE trend and returned our highest gold and copper grades at the prospect to date, opening up a much broader area to follow up.”

To build on these results, Taruga plans to extend close-spaced soil sampling lines in broad grids and carry out magnetic and gravity surveys to define the extent of the gold and base metal trends. The company will also progress targeting at the Moodong Well prospect, located eight kilometres northeast of Uaroo Ridge, using soil sampling and geophysical surveys to test a parallel northwest-trending shear system. Elsewhere in the surrounding Gascoyne district, gold and tungsten-in-soil anomalies extending over ten kilometres in strike have been reported at Dreadnought Resources Ltd's Mangaroon project.
