Taruga Minerals has returned high-grade rock chip results reaching up to 33.1 g/t gold and 223 g/t silver from outcropping quartz vein systems at the Wenasia and Sipupu prospects, extending known mineralisation across the 8km Weioko Gold District on Normanby Island, Papua New Guinea.

The sampling program, which formed part of regional exploration across the East Normanby Gold Project, successfully located the outcropping sources of mineralisation previously flagged by upstream float and reconnaissance work. At the southern Wenasia prospect, mapping identified a 40m-long exposed epithermal quartz vein where five outcrop samples ranged from 1.3 g/t gold up to 33.1 g/t gold alongside silver grades up to 349 g/t. At the northern Sipupu prospect, exploration extending into the recently granted EL2831 tenement returned standout rock chip grades including 25.2 g/t gold with 867 g/t silver, and 18.0 g/t gold with 213 g/t silver.

Out of 44 total rock chip samples reported from the campaign, 14 returned assays above 0.5 g/t gold, with six exceeding 5 g/t gold. Taruga noted that the rock chip samples are point samples from outcropping veins and are not representative of average deposit grades.

The company entered into a 12-month option to acquire 100% of the East Normanby project in December 2025. Subsequent exploration has included preliminary metallurgical testwork in August 2026, which confirmed that oxide mineralisation at the Weioko Gold Deposit is free-milling with gold recoveries reaching up to 96.3%.

“This is what disciplined exploration looks like. We flagged the Sipupu float sample as pointing to a source upstream back in July, and we walked straight to it. Wenasia has played out in a similar way, with these high- grade results validating a recent Director site visit observation where locals were panning gold in the Wenasia creeks. With high-grade outcropping vein systems confirmed across the 8km Weioko Gold District, and the maiden rig on track to mobilise at the end of this month, we're heading into a high impact Q4 for Taruga.”

Field work is now expanding to generate priority targets for trenching and drilling alongside the company's upcoming operational schedule. CorePacific Drilling was appointed in July 2026 to execute a maiden 1,000m diamond core program at the Weioko deposit, with the drill rig scheduled to mobilise by the end of September 2026.
