TechGen Metals has advanced diamond drilling to the Blue Devil target within its 100%-owned Blue Devil Project in Western Australia’s Halls Creek Orogen.

Drill hole BDDD002 is underway at Blue Devil, which comprises three strong airborne electromagnetic conductors positioned above an interpreted magnetic intrusion and supported by copper and gold geochemical anomalies. The hole has received Western Australian State Government Exploration Incentive Scheme co-funding.

With the rig now at the Blue Devil target, exploration of this large, highly conductive target can begin. The geochemistry at Blue Devil is favourably complex, supported by an intrusion at depth, with a highly conductive body wrapping around this magnetic feature.

Meanwhile, diamond drilling at the nearby Red Devil target has been completed with drill hole BDDD001 reaching a depth of 375.1 metres. The hole intersected interbedded sandstones, siltstones and mudstones of the Olympio Formation, with pyrite observed throughout in varying amounts to explain the prospect's induced polarisation chargeability anomaly.

No copper mineralisation was observed in the Red Devil core, but selected sections of interest have been sent for multi-element assays including gold. Prior surface sampling at Red Devil yielded peak rock chip values of up to 52.3% copper and 5.35 g/t gold.
