TechGen Metals reaches drill readiness at Blue Devil
Techgen Metals Ltd (TG1) has confirmed that its maiden drilling program at the Blue Devil copper-gold project in Western Australia is now fully drill-ready. The company has completed all necessary earthworks, heritage clearances, and statutory approvals required to move to the next phase of its exploration strategy. This milestone marks the first time these targets will be drill-tested, following extensive geophysical and geochemical analysis.
The project currently encompasses two primary exploration targets, Blue Devil and Red Devil. The former is defined by three distinct airborne electromagnetic conductors extending over 2.75km, situated above a magnetic intrusive body. Meanwhile, the Red Devil target features a compelling high-chargeability anomaly identified via an induced polarisation survey, located within an east-west shear zone. These prospects represent the company's primary copper-gold focus within its current active exploration pipeline.
Field mapping conducted in late June successfully identified a third area of iron and quartz-rich gossanous outcrop at the Red Devil prospect. The company has since collected 16 rock chip samples from this zone, with results expected to be released next week. This follows previous surface sampling programs that recorded high-grade values, including results up to 52.3% copper and 5.35g/t gold.
"The Company has now reached an exciting milestone with all preparations complete ahead of the maiden drilling programme at the Blue Devil and Red Devil targets. Currently we are in discussion with drilling companies in the Kimberley region. These targets have never been drill-tested, however historic exploration had identified copper, gold and favourable pathfinder geochemical signatures across multiple data sets."
— Ashley Hood, Managing Director
Site readiness follows the approval of drilling permits on 8 June 2026. With access tracks and drill pads now established, the company is actively moving toward the commencement of the maiden campaign. The next phase of activity involves the finalisation of logistics with drilling contractors, which will trigger the start of the inaugural drill test across the company's flagship copper-gold targets in the Kimberley region.
