Terra Rossa Gold Starts First Drilling at Vetas Project Since 2013

Terra Rossa Gold Ltd. has commenced drilling at its 100% owned Vetas Gold Project in the Santander gold district of Colombia, marking the first drilling campaign to take place on the property since 2013.
The current drill program comprises up to 5,000 meters across 13 holes. Eight of those holes are focused on testing the Real Minera target.
Between 2010 and 2013, historical drilling on the Vetas property totaled 71,035 meters across 162 holes. The restart of drilling follows several months of field preparation, including mapping, sampling, and data verification by the technical team.
The program has two main technical objectives. First, the team aims to improve understanding of the deposit by drilling into existing known mineralization at Real Minera to verify previous interpretations. Second, the drilling is designed to expand the geological understanding of the property by testing the broader stockwork potential at Real Minera both laterally and at depth.
Mineralization at Real Minera consists of gold-silver veins accompanied by a wider halo of stockwork veining hosted within granodioritic to quartz-monzonitic intrusive rocks and dacite porphyry, with structural controls tied to northeast-oriented shear corridors. The district features a long history of mining activity, with written records dating back to the 1500s before Spanish colonization, and local artisanal miners continue to work high-grade material by hand in the area today.
“Our goal with this program is to gain greater understanding of the stockwork zones for bulk tonnage underground mining potential”, said Carter Smith, CEO, “The drill has been turning since late last week and we are looking forward to seeing continuous assay results throughout Q4.”
