Tintina Mines Consolidates 100% Ownership of Dos Amigos and Launches Fully Funded Work Program

Tintina Mines Limited has completed its acquisition and financing transactions, releasing C$91 million in gross proceeds from escrow to consolidate 100% ownership of the Dos Amigos copper-gold project in northern Chile.
The transactions eliminate minority interests following the acquisition of the remaining 26.25% stake in Andean Belt Resources SpA. Tintina previously held a 74% interest in the project as outlined in its February 2026 Preliminary Economic Assessment, which detailed a 26-year open-pit mine life with initial capital requirements of US$1,283 million.
The funding package leaves Tintina with approximately C$55 million in net proceeds dedicated to advancing the Atacama Region asset toward a final investment decision targeted for 2030. Alongside the financing, GMC SPV Equity 01 Inc., an equal partnership between Sumitomo Corporation and the Gignac family, has emerged as an anchor investor holding a 25% non-diluted interest in the company.
The board has been reconstituted under Chairman Juan Enrique Rassmuss, and executive leadership has transitioned with the appointments of Claude Dufresne as Chief Executive Officer and Chris Stackhouse as Chief Financial Officer.
With capital secured, Tintina has launched a fully funded approximately 50,000-metre drilling program. This marks a substantial expansion from the company's 2025 campaign, which comprised 5,810 metres across 12 diamond drill holes. The new program allocates 40,000 metres toward converting existing Inferred resources—which stood at 256.3 million tonnes grading 0.34% copper and 0.24 grams per tonne gold in the preliminary economic assessment—into the Indicated category. An additional 10,000 metres will support geotechnical, hydrogeological, waste characterisation, and condemnation workstreams ahead of an updated mineral resource estimate targeted for the second half of 2027.
Rather than completing an intermediate pre-feasibility study, Tintina intends to proceed directly to a feasibility study, with results expected in 2028 upon the completion of engineering and trade-off workstreams. Permitting and environmental baseline studies across a full seasonal cycle are underway to support the development pathway.
“We evaluated numerous copper opportunities globally, and Dos Amigos stands out. The project combines scale with exceptional infrastructure in a very well understood mining jurisdiction, including direct access to a national highway, high-voltage transmission at the property boundary, and a brownfield site with a history of mining operations. These attributes provide a strong foundation for development and align directly with G Mining Services' core strengths in engineering, construction and project execution. Subject to the confirmations from our work program, we believe Dos Amigos has the potential to become a relevant copper operation and, over time, a platform for future growth.”
— Claude Dufresne, Chief Executive Officer
Engineering, trade-off studies, and permitting workstreams will continue concurrently with the ongoing drilling program as the company advances the project toward its target milestones.
