Torque Metals reports substantial resource upgrade at Paris Gold Project
Torque Metals Limited (ASX: TOR) has released an updated Mineral Resource Estimate for its 100%-owned Paris Gold Project, located in Western Australia. The new estimate outlines a total global resource of 351,000 ounces of gold at a grade of 3.1g/t. This marks a 67% increase in total contained gold compared to the previous estimate provided in September 2024, which stood at approximately 210,000 ounces. The upgrade follows an extensive drilling campaign that saw over 31,000 metres of RC and diamond drilling completed at the deposit since the last resource calculation.
The Paris deposit itself is the primary driver of this growth, now holding a resource of 253,000 ounces at 3.8g/t gold. This represents a significant refinement in geological confidence, with infill drilling allowing for the conversion of several key zones into the higher-confidence Indicated category. The company notes that while tightening these boundaries resulted in a net adjustment to the overall ounce tally, it has produced a more robust and reliable model for future mine planning.
"This resource upgrade for the Paris Gold Deposit marks the culmination of the drilling effort over the past two years by the previous management team with an amplified intensity over the last six months with a little over 19kms drilled in 2026 alone, resulting in a 67% increase in contained ounces through the definition of a high-grade 253,000oz MRE grading an impressive 3.8g/t gold. The Paris Deposit now forms nearly 72% of the global resource at the Paris Gold Project."
"Importantly, this represents just the beginning of the growth story for Torque. The current resource sits within an area of just 2.5km2, representing a tiny portion of the broader 57km strike length of highly prospective greenstone belt sitting within our South Kalgoorlie Gold Project." — Craig Jones, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer
To support this advancement, the company has launched a new "Rapid Path to a Million" (RPM) strategy. This initiative aims to expand the project’s total resource base toward an aspirational target of one million ounces over the next two years. Operational focus has shifted toward aggressive systematic growth at existing deposits, further aided by the continued application of downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) surveys to identify and test new conductors across the broader project area.
Management confirmed that the current resource estimate incorporates data up to late June 2026. Looking ahead, investors can expect additional updates as the company integrates the results from ongoing drilling efforts at the Paris, HHH, and Observation deposits into future resource revisions. These upcoming results remain a key catalyst as the team seeks to bridge gaps between known mineralisation and unlock the full potential of its tenements.
