Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. (TBK.V) has initiated its maiden diamond drill program at the Swan Zone, marking a pivotal step in the ongoing exploration of its 100%-owned Atsutla gold project in northwestern British Columbia. The company has mobilized drill equipment to the site following the completion of a four-hole, 883.40-meter drilling program at the project’s Highlands Zone. This transition reflects the company’s strategic shift to test a distinct porphyry target model, moving beyond its initial focus on high-grade gold vein systems.

The Swan Zone program will target a copper-gold-silver porphyry system, with plans to test a strike length of 1,000 meters to a vertical depth exceeding 400 meters. The target is defined by a 1.5 km by 1.5 km multi-element soil geochemical anomaly, which coincides with a 2.1 km by 1.4 km chargeability high feature identified through previous induced polarization surveying. Rock grab samples from this area have returned grades reaching 11.7 g/t gold, 212 g/t silver, and 0.81% copper.

The technical team aims for this preliminary drill campaign to clarify mineralization controls and refine the broader deposit model at the Swan Zone. This work is intended to guide the design of future, more focused exploration efforts. Geologically, the Swan Zone sits within the Cretaceous Glundebery batholith, representing an entirely different geological setting from the Jurassic host rocks found at the Highlands Zone, some 26 kilometers away.

As the company advances its portfolio, this summer’s activities form part of a wider exploration roadmap. Management is also preparing to shift its focus later in the season to its separate Coho property in central British Columbia. Inaugural drilling of copper-gold porphyry targets at the Coho site is currently scheduled to commence in September 2026. These combined efforts across the company’s assets highlight a commitment to systematic testing of its diverse regional exploration targets throughout the 2026 field season.
