Transition Metals Corp. has expanded its Gowganda Gold Property in Ontario's Abitibi Greenstone Belt to approximately 125 square kilometres following recent claim staking and property acquisitions.

The expanded property now incorporates roughly 20 kilometres of continuous strike length along the Ridout-Tyrrell Deformation Zone and covers portions of the Miller Lake basin. Gold traded at US$4,337.90 per ounce as of 10 August 2026, representing a 5.30% increase over the preceding 30-day period.

To secure the new ground, Transition staked approximately 18 square kilometres westward toward McFarlane Lake Mining's Juby project and acquired two properties totaling roughly 5 square kilometres within the Miller Lake basin. One property was optioned from Ashley Gold Mines Ltd. and Skead Holdings Ltd., with Transition holding the option to buy a 100% interest by paying $5,000 prior to the second anniversary. The second property was optioned from Skead Holdings Ltd., requiring payments of $20,000 prior to the second anniversary to secure a 100% interest. Both option agreements carry a 2% Net Smelter Return royalty, 50% of which can be purchased by Transition at any time for $1,000,000.

Field teams are currently executing a summer exploration program consisting of trenching, sampling, and soil geochemistry ahead of a planned fall drilling program.

“We continue to be highly encouraged by the scale of the gold system we are seeing in Gowganda and the increasing exploration momentum in the district. This expansion further strengthens our strategic land position within one of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt's most promising emerging gold camps.”
