Tribeca Resources Defines Priority Drill Targets At Jiguata Porphyry Project
Tribeca Resources Corporation has defined multiple high-priority porphyry and epithermal drill targets across the Jiguata project in northern Chile, following an integrated analysis of geological, geochemical, and geophysical exploration data collected during 2026.
The pre-drill targeting program incorporated data from 672 soil samples, 149 rock-chip samples, detailed alteration mapping, hyperspectral analysis, magnetic surveys, and magnetotelluric (MT) inversion modelling. The work outlined four prominent alteration centres across the 10,000-hectare property, which is held under a five-year purchase option agreement entered into by Tribeca Resources on October 29, 2025.

Among the defined areas, La Soberana and Cetro Dorado emerged as the two most advanced alteration centres. La Soberana spans a 2.5km by 1.5km zone combining molybdenum-tungsten-bismuth-copper geochemical anomalism with an arsenic-antimony-tellurium-silver-gold epithermal overprint, advanced argillic alteration, and hydrothermal breccias located at the intersection of two major structures. Cetro Dorado exhibits the strongest lithocap-style geochemical and alteration expression identified to date, supported by weathered quartz-sulphide veinlets and coincident geophysical responses.
Preliminary results from two additional target zones located to the west, Escudo Real and El Trono, also returned encouraging alteration styles, pathfinder geochemistry, and geophysical signatures. Detailed geochemical analysis for the El Trono target remains ongoing, with results pending. Elsewhere in the regional district, New Pacific Metals reported signing 30-year fixed-term administrative mining contracts for the 39-square-kilometre Carangas project and launching a drilling program in August 2026.
Community engagement has already commenced in preparation for the proposed Phase 1 drill program. Drilling is planned to test targets starting within the La Soberana alteration centre, with proposed hole depths exceeding 700 metres from drill platforms situated at elevations of approximately 4,600 metres. All identified targets remain conceptual until confirmed by upcoming subsurface testing.
“The integrated review of our 2026 field and geophysical datasets has significantly advanced the Jiguata exploration model and allowed us to define several high-priority targets for drill testing. La Soberana and Cetro Dorado are emerging as the two most advanced of the four identified alteration centres, based on their geological, geochemical, and geophysical characteristics, while El Trono and Escudo Real add important scale and optionality to the broader project. Although the targets remain conceptual until tested by drilling, the consistency of the results across multiple datasets provides a strong technical foundation for the next phase of systematic exploration and drilling activities at Jiguata.”
