Trident Resources Corp. has commenced an airborne magnetic and radiometric geophysical survey over the 29,300-hectare Reindeer Gold Property in Northern Saskatchewan.

The 6,600-line kilometre fixed-wing survey, conducted by Special Projects Inc., began on August 17 and will continue for the next few weeks. Trident holds an option to acquire up to a 100 percent interest in the property, which is situated near the boundary between the La Ronge and Kisseynew lithostructural domains. The high-resolution aeromagnetic and radiometric data will help delineate lithologies and identify structural controls associated with potential orogenic gold deposits to guide future ground-truthing and drilling.

While the airborne work advances early-stage exploration at Reindeer, drilling and field programs are progressing at the flagship Contact Lake Gold Project. The 20,000-metre summer drill program is nearly halfway complete, with final geochemical assays pending. Concurrently, Trident is conducting a soil sampling and prospecting program across Contact Lake and the adjacent Preview project area, aiming to collect approximately 9,000 samples to refine targets for subsequent drilling.

In corporate developments, the company clarified that equity grants of 1,525,000 stock options and 1,107,500 deferred share units issued on July 24 to certain directors, officers and consultants remain subject to shareholder approval at the next annual general meeting. If the plan fails to receive ratification, the grants will be immediately cancelled.
