Trifecta Gold Ltd. (TSXV:TG) has secured a ten-year exploration permit from the Government of Yukon for its Rye property. With regulatory approval in place, the company has officially commenced its second diamond drill program at the site. The 2026 exploration campaign includes a contractual minimum of 1,500 metres of drilling, supported by a dedicated contractor.

The 2026 program is designed to systematically explore two primary targets. The first involves follow-up work on a large-scale hydrothermal gold system initially identified during 2025 exploration. The second target focuses on a high-grade polymetallic vein system. Beyond the drilling, the company plans to conduct detailed geological mapping and surface sampling throughout the current field season to refine its geological model of the project area.

Technical analysis of the 2025 core samples significantly shaped the current strategy. Geologists identified high-temperature alteration zones alongside the presence of a syenogranite dyke. These specific indicators suggest the project is positioned in close proximity to the source of a buried Reduced Intrusion-Related Gold System (RIRGS). The 2025 work also featured LiDAR analysis, which successfully delineated structural features believed to be critical for understanding the geometry of the mineralized system.

As the company progresses, the focus remains on leveraging these technical insights to navigate toward the higher-grade portions of the deposit. By combining the recent drill data with new surface mapping and sampling, the team aims to improve its definition of the mineralized zones. This systematic approach is intended to guide the placement of the 1,500-metre drill program currently underway at the site.
