Troilus Mining Corp. has issued Metso Corporation a Letter of Award and a Limited Notice to Proceed to secure the first phase of major process equipment procurement for the Troilus Project in north-central Québec.

The award covers key packages including gyratory and cone crushers, apron and belt feeders, wet and dry screens, High Pressure Grinding Rolls, and ball mills. The arrangement allows Troilus to lock in commercial terms, protect the project schedule, and immediately advance detailed engineering while definitive equipment supply and service agreements are finalized. Troilus is targeting completion of these definitive arrangements in September 2026.

Metso has already been integrated into the detailed engineering program through technical workshops covering plant layout, 3D modelling, and construction planning. In parallel, the company is initiating Early Contractor Involvement engagements with specialized contractors to improve constructability and reduce execution risk ahead of construction.

As part of the ongoing negotiations, Troilus and Metso are discussing a broader Life Cycle Services framework. The proposed framework includes extended regional commissioning and ramp-up support, capital spares, extended warranty provisions, and an on-site High Pressure Grinding Roll service centre designed to reduce equipment downtime during operations.

The selection follows a procurement workstream that saw more than 40 bid packages issued for tender or evaluation. A Feasibility Study completed in May 2024 supports a large-scale, 22-year open-pit mining operation at the site with a processing capacity of 50,000 tonnes per day.
