True North Copper (TNC) has released the initial results from its 2026 diamond drilling program at the Aquila Copper-Cobalt-Silver discovery, located within the Mt Oxide project in Queensland. The first three holes completed this season have confirmed the continuity of a wide mineralized system, now traced over approximately 1.8 kilometres of strike length.

The drilling results provide essential data for refining the project’s geological model, highlighting the presence of a broad zone of mineralization paired with high-grade segments. Among the notable intercepts, one hole returned 35 metres at 0.82% copper, including a 4-metre interval grading 4.08% copper. Another hole intersected 32 metres at 0.70% copper, with a 9.4-metre section grading 2.04% copper, while also extending the parallel Acanthis trend by 250 metres.

Managing Director Andrew Mooney highlighted the significance of these findings for the company’s long-term objectives:

Looking ahead, the exploration strategy remains focused on scaling the discovery. The company is actively continuing its diamond drilling to test lateral and depth extensions of the mineralized system at Aquila. These efforts are designed to provide the technical foundation required for future development studies and to better understand the geological controls driving the mineralization found across the site.

The company has set a clear pipeline of news flow for the coming months. Beyond the ongoing work at Aquila, it intends to release assay results from its broader exploration targets, including Aquila North, Apollo, and Acanthis. Regional exploration is also underway at several other priority targets, such as Ivena North and Rhea, as the company seeks to identify additional copper-cobalt-silver mineralized zones within the project area. These upcoming results will be critical in assessing the project’s total resource scale and determining the next phases of development for the Queensland asset. By integrating these new data points into existing geological models, the company aims to move closer to its goal of establishing a standalone mining operation. As testing continues, the focus remains on refining the geometry of the system and targeting high-grade zones for future resource definition.
