U.S. GoldMining Completes 5,000 Meters of Drilling at Whistler

U.S. GoldMining Inc. has completed 11 diamond core drill holes totaling over 5,000 meters across eight distinct targets within the Whistler Orbit area at its flagship Whistler Gold-Copper Project in Alaska, keeping its 2026 exploration program safely on schedule and on budget.
The exploration work is actively testing high-priority porphyry targets to build a pipeline of discoveries capable of driving long-term resource expansion. Surface mapping and prospecting continue concurrently across regional targets including Long Lake Hills, Muddy Creek, Snow Ridge, and Island Mountain, maintaining a deep inventory of drill-ready targets for future campaigns.
Core logging and sampling facilities are fully operational on site, with initial batches of core samples dispatched to the laboratory and initial assay results anticipated in the coming weeks. The current field effort builds upon the company’s preliminary economic assessment announced on March 2, 2026. That study evaluated a stand-alone open-pit operation utilizing indicated mineral resources from the main Whistler deposit, modelling an after-tax net present value of $2.0 billion at a 5% discount rate, an internal rate of return of 33%, and an initial payback period of 2.1 years under base case assumptions.
“Our 2026 exploration program is firing on all cylinders. Having completed over 5,000 meters of drilling across eight distinct targets safely, on schedule, and on budget, we are systematically unlocking the district-scale discovery potential that surrounds our core Whistler deposit. With initial assays anticipated in the coming weeks, we look forward to demonstrating how near-deposit targets can add further value.”
“We were also honored to host members of the Western Caucus Foundation and congressional leaders at Whistler. Their visit underscores the growing recognition of the West Susitna Mineral District as a potential vital contributor to U.S. domestic critical mineral security, further bolstered by ongoing momentum surrounding the proposed West Susitna Access Road.”
— Tim Smith, Chief Executive Officer
The project is situated within the West Susitna Mineral District and links to the State of Alaska’s proposed West Susitna Access Project, a planned 78.5-mile access road initiative designed to connect the district to existing regional infrastructure. U.S. GoldMining continues to advance stakeholder engagement across the Matanuska-Susitna Borough and neighboring Native communities as part of its planning for future permitting.
