Unico Silver Limited has rescheduled the maiden integrated Pre-Feasibility Study for its 100%-owned Joaquin and Cerro Leon silver-gold projects in Santa Cruz Province, Argentina, shifting the delivery target from September 2026 to January 2027.

The timeline extension allows the company to incorporate an updated Mineral Resource Estimate that accounts for infill and extensional drilling completed since March 2026 at La Negra SE, La Morocha SE, and Breccia Puntudo.

Unico Silver is using the additional time to complete further infill drilling in select areas to maximise resource-to-reserve conversion. All process trade-off studies have been finalized, and additional metallurgical and process design testwork is nearing completion. This includes heap-leach column testwork evaluating a secondary processing route for low-grade material, with preliminary results indicating potential recovery improvements that could enhance resource scale and the overall production profile.

“Rescheduling the PFS to incorporate further detailed metallurgical and process design testwork will underpin a higher-confidence study, one that feeds directly into our RIGI application and environmental approvals, with far less risk of later change. The revised timing has also enabled additional infill drilling, now underway in key areas, to convert Inferred pit-constrained ounces to the Indicated category, maximising our maiden Ore Reserve and project value.”

— Todd Williams, Managing Director

The Cerro Leon project previously hosted a global mineral resource of 31 million tonnes at 161 g/t silver equivalent for 162 million ounces, as reported in September 2025.

To accelerate drilling, resource conversion, and qualification under Argentina's RIGI incentive regime, Unico Silver completed a $40 million institutional placement in November 2025. The company continues to target RIGI inclusion by the second half of 2027.
