Unigold Inc. has released an updated mineral resource estimate for the Candelones Project within its 100% owned Neita Sur Concession in the Dominican Republic, consolidating all mineralization with an effective date of August 6, 2026.

The updated estimate supersedes the calculation disclosed on May 31, 2021. The mineral resource stands at 69.1 million tonnes averaging 1.03 g/t gold in the Measured and Indicated categories, containing 2,291,000 ounces of gold, 4.3 million ounces of silver, and 131.9 million pounds of copper. An Inferred resource adds 5.3 million tonnes grading 1.20 g/t gold, containing 203,000 ounces of gold, 387,000 ounces of silver, and 18.0 million pounds of copper.

The estimate achieves a 100% conversion of historic Inferred resources into Measured and Indicated categories, with approximately 93% of the known resource now classified as Measured and Indicated. Substantially all of the resource is situated within an optimized open pit, with less than 4% extending underground.

The updated resource reflects a material change in processing methodology compared to Unigold’s 2022 feasibility study. While the earlier study evaluated a heap leach facility for oxide and transition material, the current estimate transitions the project design to milling with copper recovery.

“The delivery of this consolidated resource follows metallurgical studies which established that the Oxide and Transition material at Candelones, which were the subject of a 2022 feasibility study looking at a small heap leach facility, are amenable to flotation, albeit with slightly lower recoveries as compared to heap leaching. Since this oxide and transition material is a small part of the overall resource, it makes sense to process all material through a single floatation plant. This resource estimate positions Unigold to commence feasibility studies for the consolidated resource in the region.”

Gold traded at US$4,369.30 per ounce, reflecting an 8.19% increase over the preceding 30-day period.

Unigold is preparing an NI 43-101 technical report for the updated resource estimate and plans to commence feasibility studies for the consolidated Candelones resource, alongside ongoing permitting and community engagement activities in the Dominican Republic.
