US Antimony Transitions to Internal Ore Supply for Defense Contracts
United States Antimony Corporation is shifting from a reliance on imported antimony toward utilizing its own mined ore to fulfill defense contracts, marking a transition from its previous procurement model. As of 2026, the company is beginning to supply its processing facilities with material sourced from recently acquired operations in Alaska and Montana.
US Antimony reported capital expenditure of $2.8 million through June 30, 2026, to bring these remote sites into operation.
“All of these regions began initial operations either last year or earlier this year subsequent to their acquisition.”
— Joseph Bardswich, P.E., Executive Vice President and Chief Mining Engineer
In Alaska, exploration is underway at Ester Dome, where the company is conducting trenching and air track drilling to evaluate stibnite associated with historical gold-quartz veins. The company has planned a program of up to 50 drill holes for this summer. At the Nolan Creek deposit, which contains an inferred resource of 42,412 tons, the company has hosted underground site inspections for contractors. The submission of tenders for underground development at Nolan Creek is expected by mid-August 2026.
Operations at the Montana Stibnite Hill project have resumed following the implementation of additional environmental safeguard procedures required by the state. The company intends to continue mining at the site until the onset of winter conditions, expected in November 2026. Material from Stibnite Hill is being transported to the Radersburg Mill for flotation recovery to produce antimony metal ingots for the Defense Logistics Agency.
In Ontario, the company has invited bids for initial excavation and bulk sampling of the Fostung tungsten deposit, targeting a sample of at least 20,000 tons for metallurgical testing and beneficiation.
US Antimony is currently trading at $6.445, up 5.31% on August 5, 2026.
