Ur-Energy Inc. has made its first shipment of uranium from the Shirley Basin mine to the Lost Creek processing plant in Wyoming, marking the start of full operations and production ramp-up at the site.

The initial shipment follows a construction decision announced in March 2024, which initially outlined a satellite plant designed to produce up to 1 million pounds of U₃O₈ per year. The project has since increased its licensed wellfield and toll processing capacity to up to 2.0 million pounds of U₃O₈ equivalent.

With both Shirley Basin and Lost Creek now operational, the combined annual licensed production and toll-processing capacity across the two assets stands at 4.2 million pounds of U₃O₈. Initial mining operations at the satellite site commenced in April 2026, followed by final operating authorization from the State of Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality in late June. The project transitioned from its initial construction decision to production in two and a half years.

Following the arrival of the first shipment at the central facility, Ur-Energy will execute its strategy to ramp up production at the Shirley Basin mine to full commercial levels while continuing to advance organic growth opportunities across the district.
