Val-d'Or Mining has reported initial assay results from its 2026 winter diamond drilling program at the Perestroika Prospect in Quebec, headlined by a broad intersection of 3.08 g/t gold over 84.0 metres in hole PE-26-027. This intercept, which includes a higher-grade sub-interval of 10.70 g/t gold over 16.0 metres, sits within a mineralized corridor measuring 1,000 metres along strike.

The 2026 program, operated by Eldorado Gold, saw the completion of 25 holes for a total of 12,477 metres of drilling. Analytical results from four specific holes—PE-26-021, PE-26-025, PE-26-027, and PE-26-030—have been prioritised. Hole PE-26-030 returned 3.07 g/t gold over 21.30 metres, with additional highlights including 25.12 g/t gold over 0.70 metres from 42.50 metres depth.

Glenn Mullan, President and CEO of Val-d'Or Mining, explained that the recent drilling focused on validating the structural model of the property:

“The objective of these four (4) drillholes being drilled down-plunge, was to test the idea that the flat extensional gold-bearing quartz-ankerite veins are stacked in an alignment parallel to the stretching lineation, and to test for the presence of multiple shoots of high-density stacked veins.”

“These initial results are highly encouraging, spanning a lateral strike length of over 500-metres along the southern portion of the over 1000-metre NW-SE mineralized footprint, and located between two shear corridors separated by 150-metres.”

The gold mineralization identified to date is typically associated with sulphide content, specifically pyrite, hosted within altered felsic dykes and quartz-ankerite veins. The drilling was conducted over 1,200 metres along a northwest-southeast trending deformation corridor.

Work remains ongoing to process the full suite of samples from the 2026 campaign. The company reports that 6,127 assay results are currently pending from the laboratory, while an additional 2,783 samples are awaiting preparation, cutting, and dispatch for analysis.

Following the release of these results, Val-d'Or Mining shares are currently trading at $0.21, representing a 7.69% increase during the August 5, 2026, session.
