Valor Gold Corp. has refined five priority exploration targets for non-refractory gold systems along the Tundra-Salmita trend at the Courageous Lake project in the Northwest Territories, following a summer field program of core relogging and resampling.

The technical review has identified structural and lithological controls on mineralization at the Walsh Lake deposit, where gold is hosted in sheared rocks at greywacke and mafic volcanic contacts. Valor holds a 100% interest in the Courageous Lake Project, which hosts a measured and indicated mineral resource of 145 million tonnes grading 2.36 g/t gold containing 11.0 million ounces of gold.

Valor Gold plans to conduct a 12,000-metre diamond drill program at the Walsh Lake deposit in early 2027 to delineate measured and indicated resources. The deposit currently hosts an inferred mineral resource of 4.1 million tonnes grading 4.2 g/t gold containing 550,000 ounces of gold, defined over a one-kilometre strike length and approximately 300 metres in depth. The company aims to integrate the deposit into an updated pre-feasibility study following the resource definition drilling.

“Expanding and integrating the Walsh Lake deposit into the mine plan could have significant implications for the Courageous Lake project. Walsh Lake is a near surface, non-refractory deposit and therefore could enhance project economics by sequencing its development early in the mine plan. We are beginning to understand the structural controls on mineralization, providing us with several opportunities for expansion of the currently defined mineralized footprint as well as refining our domains for resource estimation. We are looking forward to drill testing Walsh Lake with a substantial diamond drill program in early 2027.”

In addition to target refinement, the company has reinitiated baseline environmental monitoring across the property. The scope includes a wildlife monitoring program using stationed cameras, hydrology monitoring, meteorology, and fisheries work to gather baseline data required for environmental assessment.

Shares in Valor Gold are currently trading at $4.37, up 4.80%.
