Venus Metals Declares $35 Million Special Cash Dividend
Venus Metals Corporation Limited has declared a special cash dividend of $35 million in aggregate, delivering $0.1697 per fully paid ordinary share to eligible shareholders.
The cash dividend is franked to 80.01% at the full company tax rate of 30%. The payout is funded by cash proceeds received from the sale of the group's 1.0% net smelter return royalty on all gold production from the Youanmi Gold Project mining leases.
“Together with the royalty sale announced on 29 May 2026, the Venus Board determined the Cash Dividend and the recently completed special dividend via an in-specie distribution of shares in Rox Resources Limited would represent the best outcome for returning value to all shareholders.”
— Matthew Hogan, Managing Director
The ex-dividend date falls on 10 September 2026, with the record date scheduled for 11 September 2026. Venus expects to pay the special cash dividend to shareholders on 18 September 2026. All key dates remain indicative and subject to change, while the declaration itself is subject to the company having sufficient profit reserves and the payment remaining within prudent business practices.
Alongside the capital return, Venus is advancing operational work at the Bellchambers Gold Project, where the global resource stands at 766,000 tonnes grading 1.27 g/t gold for 31,400 ounces. That total comprises 8,800 ounces in the Measured category, 18,100 ounces in Indicated, and 4,500 ounces in Inferred.
The project also carries an exploration target of 800,000 to 950,000 tonnes at 1.75 g/t to 2.00 g/t gold for 45,000 to 60,000 ounces located beneath the global resource, though the potential quantity and grade of this target remain conceptual in nature. Venus has completed further drilling at depth across both the Bellchambers and Rangeview deposits to expand the current resource and test the validity of the exploration target. The company is currently awaiting assay results from that deeper drilling.
Work is also progressing on a mining development and closure proposal alongside pre-feasibility study activities for the project.
