Viking Mines has received approval from the US Bureau of Land Management to collect a bulk sample of up to 1,000 short tons, or approximately 907 tonnes, from historical surface stockpiles at the Linka Tungsten Project in Nevada, USA.

The approval allows Viking to move past previous bench-scale metallurgical testwork and source material for larger processing trials. Systematic sampling across the stockpiles previously returned an average grade of 0.4% WO3 from 41 samples, with individual high-grade results reaching up to 1.1% WO3. Applying the average grade to the approved 1,000 short ton sample indicates the potential to contain approximately 363 metric tonne units of WO3.

Collection of the bulk sample is designed to feed toll treatment facilities within the United States. Processing the material through third-party facilities will generate concentrate samples for offtake assessment with Ammonium Paratungstate refineries. Viking is currently identifying and assessing suitable toll treatment operators in the US to handle the program.

Receiving this approval from the BLM is another important step in our strategy to unlock near- term value from the surface assets at Linka. A bulk sample of this scale allows us to move beyond bench-scale testwork and produce meaningful quantities of concentrate for assessment by potential offtake partners in the United States.

The project build builds on technical data secured when Viking completed due diligence on the Nevada tungsten portfolio in February 2026. Alongside Linka, Viking holds additional tungsten assets in the state, including the Alpine and Long projects. Planning for the collection, handling, and transport of the Linka surface stockpiles is now underway alongside ongoing metallurgical testwork.
