Viridian Metals Inc. has returned initial assay results from its 2026 drill program at the Kraken Main Zone in Labrador, highlighted by the extension of hole VKS25-024 to 51.15 metres.

The extended hole returned 50.15 metres grading 0.68% copper equivalent from one metre depth, including an 18.8-metre interval averaging 1.12% copper equivalent from 12.2 metres. Mineralization at VKS25-024 begins at surface and continues to the end of the hole, defining a mineralized package more than 50 metres thick.

“The extension of VKS25-024 shows that the mineralized horizon can be considerably thicker than previously modeled,” said Tyrell Sutherland, President and Chief Executive Officer of Viridian Metals. “Here, mineralization begins at surface and continues beyond 50 metres depth. The original hole established consistent mineralization over 24 metres, and the extension shows the horizon can thicken substantially in places. Identifying these thicker pods within the broader mineralized horizon is an important avenue for adding volume to the mineralization already identified across Kraken Main.”

The ongoing diamond drilling campaign follows earlier exploration programs that established continuity of mineralization along the Main Zone. Field operations currently feature two rigs active at the property, with drilling expected to continue through the end of October 2026.

Recent step-out holes including VKS26-059, VKS26-060, and VKS26-062—drilled approximately 600 metres, 900 metres, and 1.2 kilometres from previous drilling—have intersected visually identified semi-massive sulphide mineralization at the top of bedrock, with samples submitted for laboratory analysis.

Parallel to the active drilling, Viridian is finalizing work on an initial exploration target for the Kraken Main Zone based on drilling completed prior to the current 2026 campaign.
