Viridian Metals Inc. has returned initial drill core observations from the 2026 program at the Kraken project in Labrador, confirming the continuation of massive sulphides in an extended drill hole as assays remain pending.

Drilling at the site has targeted the near-surface Kraken Main Zone as Viridian works toward establishing an initial mineral resource estimate under National Instrument 43-101 guidelines. The current campaign included extending hole VKS25-024, which previously terminated in mineralization.

Hole VKS25-024 previously terminated in mineralization at 25.05 metres. The current drilling program extended the hole to 51 metres, with massive to semi-massive sulphides continuing to approximately 33 metres before transitioning to patchy net-textured sulphides to the end of the hole.

Visual inspections of the drill core identified chalcopyrite as the primary copper-bearing mineral alongside pyrrhotite, the dominant sulphide that commonly hosts intergrown pentlandite. Laboratory analyses are required to determine final metal grades and distribution.

Viridian Metals expects to receive initial analytical assay results from the 2026 drill program at the Kraken project in the coming weeks, with additional drill core to be submitted on a rolling basis as operations progress.
