Visionary Copper and Gold Mines Inc. has appointed Jason Flight as Vice President of Exploration to lead technical programs across its Atlantic Canada portfolio, anchored by the Point Leamington volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit in central Newfoundland.

Mr. Flight brings over 15 years of experience, having previously served as Vice President of Exploration at Galway Metals Inc. His background includes regional target generation, drill program supervision, and underground operational experience at the Ming Mine in Newfoundland’s Baie Verte district, as well as advancing projects through feasibility stages at Maritime Resources Corp.

Max Porterfield, President and CEO of Visionary, noted the strategic value of the appointment.

“Jason brings exactly the kind of VMS hands-on experience we need to lead exploration at our flagship Point Leamington deposit,” said Max Porterfield, President and CEO of Visionary. “As we move Point Leamington into Phase 2 drilling, Jason's technical rigor and practical field experience is invaluable. We're thrilled to welcome him to the team.”

Operational momentum in the surrounding district is underscored by FireFly Metals Ltd, which reported high-grade underground drill results, including 11.5 metres at 13.2% copper equivalent, at its Green Bay project on August 3, 2026.

Mr. Flight outlined his objectives for the incoming exploration phase.

“Point Leamington is exactly the kind of project that gets me excited,” said Mr. Flight. “Heading into Phase 2 drilling — with an immediate opportunity to expand the resource at the emerging Kraken zone, along strike to the south and from potential deeper extensions below historic drilling — I see real opportunity to grow this deposit meaningfully.”

Visionary is advancing its Phase 2 exploration program at Point Leamington, focusing on resource conversion, resource expansion, and evaluation of the Kraken Zone. In connection with his appointment, Mr. Flight will be granted incentive stock options subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval. The company also granted 160,000 stock options to an officer and a consultant at an exercise price of $1.25 per common share. Additionally, Visionary entered into a one-month investor relations agreement with X Media Inc. for a one-time fee of US$50,000, subject to exchange acceptance.
