Vizsla Copper Hits 48.5m at 3.32% Copper at Woodjam Project

Vizsla Copper Corp. has intersected 48.5 meters grading 3.32% copper, 0.23 g/t gold, and 16.59 g/t silver from 320.5 meters down hole within a broader high-grade interval at the Deerhorn deposit on the Woodjam Project in central British Columbia.

Drill hole DH26-136 evaluated the eastern portion of the Deerhorn deposit as part of an 11-hole drill program. The lower high-grade copper zone returned 266.0 meters of 0.97% copper, 0.06 g/t gold, and 4.29 g/t silver from 306.0 meters down hole. That intercept included a 107.7-meter section averaging 2.01% copper, 0.13 g/t gold, and 8.61 g/t silver from 320.5 meters down hole.

The same drill hole encountered a near-surface interval returning 129.9 meters of 0.30% copper, 0.21 g/t gold, and 0.94 g/t silver from 70.1 meters down hole, including 50.0 meters of 0.46% copper, 0.40 g/t gold, and 1.43 g/t silver from 150.0 meters down hole. The upper interval consists of quartz-chalcopyrite stockwork cutting potassically altered monzonite, while the lower zone features quartz-chalcopyrite veins and stockwork grading into semi-massive chalcopyrite and breccias.

The intercept sits approximately 100 meters below the modelled area of the Deerhorn historical mineral resource estimate and outlines an emerging target area that remains open in multiple directions.

The Woodjam project is home to several porphyry-related copper and gold deposits, including Deerhorn, Southeast, Three Firs, and Great Plains. Vizsla Copper focuses on its Palmer VMS project in Southeast Alaska, alongside its Poplar and Woodjam porphyry projects in British Columbia.

Assay results from drill holes DH26-134 and DH26-137 at Deerhorn, along with eight additional holes completed at Three Firs and Great Plains, remain pending. Once assays return for DH26-137, Vizsla Copper will launch core-relogging and 3D modeling of historical drill core from eastern Deerhorn to design follow-up drilling.

Drilling at the Deerhorn deposit continues to improve our understanding of the porphyry-related copper-gold system, with these results representing the strongest mineralization we have encountered at the project to date.

These results suggest that the high-grade component of the system may be more extensive than previously recognized and provide further insight into the geometry and distribution of mineralization.
