Vortex Energy Corp. has announced plans to undertake a targeted ground gravity survey at its Robinsons River Salt Project, located approximately 35 kilometres south of Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador.

The upcoming geophysical program builds on technical study results released on August 6, 2026, which integrated available geological, drilling, seismic and gravity data. The survey is designed to address gaps in the existing gravity dataset and provide additional spatial control in selected priority areas. The new data will be combined with existing information to further refine the subsurface model and support the ranking of potential future drill targets. Gravity is a non-unique exploration method that directly measures the target ore’s gravity field and cannot independently confirm the presence, composition, thickness or continuity of salt.

Vortex is advancing the 100%-owned project, which comprises 942 claims covering 23,500 hectares and is prospective for both salt and hydrogen salt cavern storage. The asset has previously been advanced through several exploration initiatives, including drill trail clearing in January 2024, a high-resolution UAV magnetic survey in December 2024, and an Ambient Noise Tomography survey completed across 2025 and 2026.

The company is currently finalizing the survey area, station spacing, budget, schedule and permitting requirements.
