WA Gold Ltd (ASX: WAU) has received assays from seven diamond drill holes at the Abercromby Gold Project, returning grades up to 35.21g/t Au. All holes successfully intersected the targeted eastern lode, confirming mineralisation continuity over a minimum 500m strike length. A weighted average grade of 2.61g/t Au across the eastern lode intercepts aligns with the project’s current geological model.

One hole, 26ABDD001, intersected an alteration halo measuring 231m thick, which the company suggests may indicate a larger, more extensive gold system. Other notable results included 9m at 3.07g/t Au and 9.41m at 2.89g/t Au.

"These results represent another important milestone in advancing Abercromby toward development. The 100% success rate in intersecting the eastern gold lode gives us increased confidence in the geological model that underpins our Scoping Study and will add ounces, at similar grades to the lode we're targetting for initial exploitation via underground mining."

"The thick lower grade alteration zone intersected hints at more than one economically significant mineralisation regime at Abercromby and prompts us to re-evaluate our thinking on deposit architecture, with a view to scale."

The company is now moving forward with its broader project objectives, which include 6,000m of additional resource development and step-out drilling. These efforts are part of a wider program to de-risk the asset, progress toward a maiden Ore Reserve, and support ongoing development studies.

"With a further 6,000 metres of drilling planned and development studies continuing, we're focused on increasing confidence in the resource, progressing toward a maiden Ore Reserve and continuing to de-risk the Project as we move toward a development decision."
