Waratah Minerals has returned shallow high-grade gold intercepts from the final reverse circulation holes of its maiden program at the Alpine Gold Zone, part of the ongoing 80,000-metre growth and extensional drilling campaign at the Spur Project in New South Wales.

Drillhole ARC023 intersected multiple shallow intervals, including 7 metres at 1.40 g/t gold from 13 metres, with a 1-metre subsection grading 9.34 g/t gold from 17 metres. A deeper intercept in the same hole returned 20 metres at 1.82 g/t gold from 53 metres, which included an 8-metre section at 4.38 g/t gold from 55 metres, a 4-metre interval at 8.44 g/t gold from 59 metres, and a 1-metre high-grade hit of 26.63 g/t gold from 59 metres.

A neighbouring reconnaissance hole, ARC024, collared 50 metres northeast of ARC023, returned 12 metres at 1.18 g/t gold from 27 metres and 14 metres at 0.84 g/t gold from 106 metres. The latter intercept remains open downhole, ending in high-grade mineralisation grading 5.63 g/t gold. Waratah plans to re-enter ARC024 and extend the hole using a diamond tail.

A third hole, ARC021, encountered a broad shallow zone returning 29 metres at 0.54 g/t gold from 40 metres, including 8 metres at 1.12 g/t gold from 43 metres.

The results from Alpine, alongside recent work at the Gazzards Zone, support the company’s broader exploration model linking Alpine, Gazzards, Spur, and Consols within a continuous 6-kilometre mineralised gold corridor along the margin of the Cargo Intrusive Complex.

“These strong results from the Alpine Zone along with the recent results from the Gazzards Zone, validate our thesis that the entire 6-kilometre-long margin of the Cargo Intrusive Complex represents a high-priority gold target zone with potential for extensions of the strong gold mineralisation encountered at Spur and Consols. The interpretation is supported by consistent geology, alteration and mineralisation, strengthening the exploration model across the Cargo Intrusive Complex. Now that the RC drilling program has rapidly tested several prospective zones and proven up several shallow high-priority targets, the company intends to follow-up with a systematic diamond drill program as soon as possible.”

Waratah expects to commence follow-up systematic diamond drilling at the Spur Project in the fourth quarter of 2026, pending the receipt of required regulatory approvals.
