Waratah Minerals reports growth at Consols gold system
Waratah Minerals Limited (ASX: WTM) has released new drill results from the Consols Zone at its Spur project in New South Wales, providing further evidence of a sprawling, high-grade gold system. The latest assay data, part of an aggressive 80,000-metre growth and extensional drilling campaign, confirms that the mineralised envelope is expanding significantly in multiple directions.
The highlight of the update is drillhole SPD048, which returned 144 metres at 1.49 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 482 metres. This intercept represents the project’s third result exceeding the 200-gram-metre threshold, a key benchmark the company uses to gauge the scale and intensity of its mineralisation. Other holes, including SPD051, SPD052, and SPD056, have successfully extended the known footprint by up to 130 metres laterally. The Consols Zone now spans an area of more than 400 metres east-west, 500 metres north-south, and 600 metres vertically.
"These latest results include the project's third +200-gram-metre intercept which reinforces the scale of the gold system and is a strong validation of the growth potential of Consols. These results materially advance our understanding of the Consols Zone and support our view that the deposit has significant upside that is yet to be captured in the current inventory. Drilling continues to extend the known high-grade zones and broader mineralised envelope at Consols now spanning an area >400m east-west, >500m north-south and >600m vertically."

Waratah Minerals is currently executing a district-scale exploration strategy focused on the Cargo Intrusive Complex. Beyond the ongoing work at Consols, the company is maintaining active drill rigs across several other prospects, including Ironclad and Gazzards. These efforts are designed to test the full potential of a 6-kilometre priority target zone located at the margin of the complex.
With these results, the company continues to advance its multi-target program. Investors should expect further updates as rigs move through the wider project area, specifically aimed at evaluating the prospective ground surrounding the current resource zones. The ongoing 80,000-metre drill program remains the primary vehicle for the company’s efforts to define the broader scale of its New South Wales assets. By systematically expanding the known mineralisation, the company is building a larger picture of the gold potential within its extensive landholding, while simultaneously vetting the geological continuity of these deep-seated target zones.
