Wescan Goldfields Inc. has started mobilizing a fly camp to its Munro Lake project in northern Saskatchewan ahead of its 2026 diamond drilling program.

Crews will arrive within days to begin up to 2,000 metres of helicopter-supported diamond drilling, following a permit received in July. Funding comes from a private placement that raised $2,515,532.

The drilling will target high-grade gold intercepts from Wescan’s 2013 campaign, which included 67.1 grams per tonne gold over 1.00 metre in hole EXML-002 and 7.1 grams per tonne over 1.02 metres in EXML-001. This Phase 1 program more than doubles the historical drilling footage as the company tests mineralization down-plunge and along strike.

Phase 1 will also follow up on historical surface grab samples assaying up to 38 grams per tonne gold across a 7-kilometre strike length. Simultaneously, Tuzo Geo Surveys will conduct UAV-based magnetic and LiDAR surveys to refine structural interpretations and assist drill targeting.

The Munro Lake project is situated approximately 7 kilometres northeast of SSR Mining's Seabee mine and mill complex.
