Wescan Starts Airborne Surveys At Munro Lake
The geophysical survey encompasses approximately 520 line-kilometres across a contiguous 11.6-square-kilometre block extending along a 7-kilometre mineralized trend. TUZO GeoSurveys Corp. is flying the program on 30-metre flight lines with 300-metre tie lines. Drone-based magnetics provide tighter line spacing and lower flight heights than conventional airborne platforms, allowing operators to resolve structural details such as faults and contacts that host gold mineralization.

Gold at Munro Lake is hosted in quartz veins developed along structural breaks, where intersections, flexures and dilational jogs provide prospective settings for wider or higher-grade mineralization. The magnetic survey also carries the potential to detect mineralized structures directly because the gold-bearing quartz veins commonly contain pyrrhotite, a magnetic iron sulphide that can produce discrete responses over individual veins.
Chase Wood of TUZO GeoSurveys Corp. is directing the surveys. In conjunction with the airborne work, Wood is conducting limited structural mapping in the southeast zone to measure the strike and plunge of quartz veins exposed at surface. Historical drilling by the company in this area intersected high-grade gold, including 67.1 grams per tonne over 1.00 metre in hole EXML-002 and 7.1 grams per tonne over 1.02 metres in hole EXML-001.
The survey data, historical drill holes, and surface grab samples will be integrated to prioritize drill-ready targets. Wescan plans to execute up to 2,000 metres of helicopter-supported diamond drilling during Phase 1 of its 2026 program to test the extent of the 2013 mineralization down-plunge and along strike.
