Wesdome Files NI 43-101 Technical Reports Supporting Eight-Year Mine Plans at Eagle River and Kiena
Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd. has filed independent NI 43-101 technical reports for its Eagle River Mine in Ontario and Kiena Mine in Québec, formalising eight-year operating plans that support the reserve-based mine life and updated mineral estimates announced on June 24, 2026.
The new filings replace shorter historical operating horizons with concurrent eight-year mine plans through 2033 for both assets.
“The Technical Reports filed today provide independent validation of the significant work our team has undertaken over the past several years to strengthen the foundation of Wesdome. They establish the most robust reserve-based mine plans in the Company's history, with both Eagle River and Kiena now supported by eight-year operating plans that provide a resilient platform for disciplined execution and sustainable growth.”
— Anthea Bath, President and Chief Executive Officer
Alongside the technical reports, Wesdome detailed operational targets across both land packages. At the Kiena Mine, the company sees a pathway to lift annual production by 10% to 15% through additional mining fronts, productivity improvements, and technical optimization, while advancing Kiena East as a potential future mining centre.
At the Eagle River underground operation, production occurs alongside grade normalisation across the mine. During the second quarter of 2026, the average grade at Eagle River was 9.7 grams per tonne gold, representing a material decrease from 16.9 grams per tonne gold recorded in the second quarter of 2025.
Beyond the current underground workings at Eagle River, Wesdome is evaluating secondary targets within the land package. The company expects to evaluate the potential of the Mishi-Magnacon deposit to support an open pit operation through a conceptual study over the next 12 to 18 months.
In the surrounding district, Vault Minerals Limited received key regulatory approvals for the construction of the Southern Tailings Management Facility at the Sugar Zone mine in July 2026.
Wesdome shares are currently trading at $34.72, up 8.50% on 7 August 2026.
