West Coast Silver Completes Diamond Drilling at Elizabeth Hill
West Coast Silver Limited (ASX: WCE) has confirmed the conclusion of its H1 2026 diamond drilling campaign at the Elizabeth Hill silver project in Western Australia’s Pilbara region. The program comprised 14 diamond holes totaling 2,015.7 meters of drilling. Operations focused on testing deeper geological targets beneath the historical mine, alongside infill and step-out drilling north and west of the project's current mineralised envelope.
The company aimed to validate a structural model suggesting that high-grade silver mineralisation continues along the Munni Munni Fault Zone at depths reaching 200 meters. This data collection is intended to refine the understanding of the mineral system’s scale and continuity. The work included specific infill drilling to improve confidence in the existing block model, which serves as the foundation for the project's geological assessment.
"We are pleased to announce the successful and safe completion of the Elizabeth Hill diamond drilling program for H1 2026."
"Our drilling has shown that silver mineralisation at Elizabeth Hill extends beyond the historical underground mine and is associated with a broader structural corridor along the Munni Munni Fault."
— Bruce Garlick, Executive Chairman
All samples from the 14 completed holes have been submitted to ALS Geochemistry in Perth for laboratory analysis. The company expects these assay results to be returned by the end of August 2026. This data will serve as a critical input for the planned technical updates moving forward, including an upcoming JORC (2012) compliant Mineral Resource Estimate.
Management has positioned this exploration work as a necessary precursor to more advanced project evaluations. By defining the extent of the mineralisation, the company aims to move toward a potential development pathway for a restart of operations at the historical site. Once the assay data is integrated into the updated resource estimate, West Coast Silver intends to initiate economic studies to evaluate various development options for the asset.
Following the H1 program, the company has already outlined plans for further diamond drilling during the second half of 2026. This subsequent activity will prioritize testing depth extensions and evaluating new targets identified in the northwest of the project area. These steps are part of a broader, phased technical approach to assess the viability of restarting mining operations at Elizabeth Hill. Further updates regarding the technical progress and economic evaluations are expected as laboratory results and geological reviews are completed throughout the remainder of the year.
