West Cobar Metals Limited has completed an initial air-core drilling program at its 100%-owned Blind Freddie Prospect, located approximately 50 kilometres west of Cobar in central New South Wales.

The completed program comprises 15 air-core holes for a total of 801 metres, slightly scaling back the company's previously planned program of up to 1,000 metres at the prospect. Drilling was designed to provide the first subsurface test of surface copper anomalism identified through rock-chip and lag sampling within Winduck Group siltstones and sandstones along a broader 2.5-kilometre copper-gold geochemical trend.

All recovered drill samples have been submitted to a laboratory for analyses. West Cobar expects to receive the assay results for the 15 completed air-core holes in around four to six weeks to help determine whether further exploration is warranted at the New South Wales prospect.
