West High Yield Secures Cut Licence For Record Ridge

West High Yield (W.H.Y.) Resources Ltd. has received an Occupant Licence to Cut and Remove from the British Columbia Ministry of Forests for an approximately 50.062-hectare licence area at the Record Ridge Project near Rossland, British Columbia.
The licence authorizes the company to cut, deck and remove Crown timber within the project area. This site preparation and timber clearing capability represents a key component of construction readiness, allowing work to proceed once applicable pre-disturbance requirements are satisfied.
The new authorization follows several provincial milestones secured over the past year. West High Yield previously received its Mines Act permit in October 2025—posting an initial reclamation bond in December 2025 to meet permit conditions—and obtained a highway access permit from the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Transit in June 2026.
“The receipt of the OLTC is a major milestone for Record Ridge and another important step toward construction,” said Frank Marasco, President and CEO of West High Yield. “With our Mines Act permit, highway access permit and now the OLTC in place, we continue to advance the key provincial authorizations while focusing on completing the remaining requirements to position Record Ridge for the next stage of development. We appreciate the continued efforts of the British Columbia Ministry of Forests and all parties involved in moving Record Ridge forward.” — Frank Marasco, President and CEO of West High Yield
Before timber clearing and associated ground disturbance can commence, West High Yield must fulfill remaining pre-disturbance conditions under its Mines Act permit, which includes posting the balance of the required reclamation security. In parallel, the company continues to advance the environmental authorization process under the British Columbia Environmental Management Act.
