West Point Gold has intersected 30.4 metres grading 2.31 grams per tonne gold at the Tyro Main Zone, part of its Gold Chain project in Arizona. The result from core hole GC26-138 included segments of 2.18 g/t gold over 7.7 metres and 2.36 g/t gold over 22.7 metres, separated by a 2.8-metre void identified as a historical adit.

The company reported that gold grades adjacent to the historical mine workings ranged from 6.4 to 14.9 g/t, suggesting the potential for high-grade vein and breccia material to extend to depth. While other deep holes in the 4,304-metre, 18-hole program encountered weaker or no significant mineralization, the presence of anomalous gold values and specific epithermal textures has led the company to evaluate the possibility of stacked gold horizons.

West Point Gold is currently trading at $1.37, up 2.24% on 5 August 2026.

“Drilling in the upper levels of the Tyro Main Zone continues to produce consistent results and West Point Gold is well positioned for the Tyro maiden resource, which remains on track to be completed in late Q3 or early Q4 this year. Additionally, deeper drilling is guiding our efforts to expand the gold zone to depth comparable to the Northeast Tyro Zone. We plan to target below the entire 1.2km strike length of the Tyro Main and NE Tyro zones with the next drill program,”

The company plans to resume drilling in mid-September to test the structural interpretation of the mineralized system, with a focus on chasing Northeast Tyro mineralization toward the Tyro Main zone and the Frisco Graben.
