West Red Lake Gold Files NI 43-101 Technical Report for Rowan Deposit
West Red Lake Gold Mines Ltd. (WRLG) has officially filed its NI 43-101 technical report regarding the updated mineral resource estimate for the West Red Lake (Rowan) project in Ontario. The filing also includes a maiden mineral resource estimate for the nearby Mount Jamie deposit. These documents formalize the technical data previously disclosed by the company in early June. The project remains a significant focus for the company as it advances its growth strategy within the Red Lake gold district.
The finalized resource figures reflect minor, non-material adjustments resulting from final reconciliation and the application of standard rounding and reporting protocols. For the Rowan deposit, the resource now sits at 798,989 tonnes at an indicated grade of 13.04 grams per tonne, resulting in 335,058 ounces of gold, alongside an inferred resource of 363,602 tonnes at 15.31 grams per tonne, totaling 179,029 ounces. The newly reported Mount Jamie deposit contains 110,385 tonnes at 14.02 grams per tonne in the indicated category, totaling 49,740 ounces, with an additional 94,394 tonnes at 12.10 grams per tonne, or 36,727 ounces, classified as inferred.
These assets form a critical component of the company’s broader development model. West Red Lake Gold employs a hub and spoke operating structure, utilizing its Madsen Mine as the central processing facility. The Rowan and Mount Jamie deposits are intended to serve as satellite sources of high-grade ore, designed to feed into the central infrastructure and expand overall production capacity within the district. Management views these projects as key contributors to the company’s objective of increasing long-term gold output.
Operational activity is set to continue at these sites throughout the remainder of the year. The company has scheduled further drilling programs for both the Rowan and Mount Jamie deposits as part of its ongoing efforts to refine the geological models and potentially expand the current resource base. These exploration activities are expected to provide additional data for future engineering and development studies.
Market reaction to the technical filing was positive. Shares of the company closed at $0.72 on the day of the announcement, representing a 1.41% increase in value. The formalization of these resource estimates provides a cleared path for the company to integrate these high-grade satellite assets into its production pipeline, further supporting its vision for consolidated operations in one of Canada’s most prolific mining jurisdictions. The company’s technical team, led by its exploration vice president, oversaw the preparation of the resource data in coordination with independent consulting firms, ensuring the report meets current regulatory standards for mineral disclosure. The documentation is now accessible to the public through the company’s website and the SEDAR+ electronic filing system for investors to review.
