Westar Resources Limited has identified three high-priority gold targets and a fourth secondary target at the Jerrys Bore project in Western Australia’s Mt Margaret Mineral Field, following assay results from a recent soil sampling program.

The work involved collecting 1,167 auger samples at depths between 1m and 3m across the granted 67-block exploration licence. The tenement covers a strike length exceeding 20 kilometres along the major De La Poer Fault in the Burtville Terrane of the northeast Goldfields.

Assay results revealed gold anomalism associated with structures identified from aeromagnetic data. This is accompanied by elevated values of pathfinder elements including arsenic, bismuth, molybdenum, antimony, and tellurium, which are commonly associated with Archean orogenic gold systems.

Targets T1, T2, and T3 each exhibit gold anomalism with coincident pathfinder elements over strike lengths exceeding two kilometres. Target T1 sits in the northern part of the area along a fault structure parallel to the main fault. Targets T2 and T3 occupy a structurally complex zone of probable greenstone rocks in the southern part of the tenement. Meanwhile, Target T4 displayed no gold anomalism but featured anomalous pathfinder elements, marking a structure that may have acted as a fluid pathway.

Prior to soil sampling, Westar conducted reconnaissance work and an orientation geochemical survey to evaluate sample media fractions. The company now plans to conduct a program of aircore drilling and follow-up work on the identified targets.
