Western Mines Group Hits 235m at 0.28% Nickel in Phase 5 Assays at Mulga Tank

Western Mines Group has returned initial Phase 5 geochemical assay results from reverse circulation drilling at the Mulga Tank Project on the Minigwal Greenstone Belt in Western Australia's Eastern Goldfields, highlighting broad intervals of nickel sulphide mineralisation across all four reported holes.
Assay results from holes MTRC079 to MTRC082 outline extensive mineralisation within the Mulga Tank Complex. Hole MTRC080 returned a broad intercept of 235 metres at 0.28% nickel, 134 parts per million cobalt, and 228 parts per million copper from 83 metres. The hole included multiple shallow higher-grade intervals, such as 10 metres at 0.57% nickel, 148 parts per million cobalt, 184 parts per million copper, and 0.20 grams per tonne platinum and palladium from 84 metres, as well as a 17-metre section at 0.43% nickel from 177 metres that featured a 2-metre subsection grading 0.94% nickel and 0.20% copper from 192 metres.
Hole MTRC082 returned 213 metres at 0.28% nickel, 128 parts per million cobalt, and 96 parts per million copper from 87 metres, also containing shallow higher-grade zones. Holes MTRC079 and MTRC081 returned cumulative mineralised intervals of 146 metres at 0.27% nickel and 154 metres at 0.29% nickel, respectively.
The Phase 5 program was designed to infill previous drilling within the main body of the complex and follow up on earlier holes, complementing exploration spanning the past three years following a Mineral Resource Estimate announced in April 2025.
“Phase 5 assay results are now staring to flow through and its good to see these first four holes are all mineralised, MTRC080 and MTRC082 in particular show some robust sulphide mineralisation.”

The company completed a capital raising of approximately A$2.7 million in August 2026 to fund ongoing exploration across the asset, which includes seismic surveys, further drilling, and the completion of an initial scoping study. Western Mines Group expects a steady flow of additional Phase 5 assay results through the remainder of August and early September.
