Western Star Models Buried Intrusive Bodies Across Nevada Tungsten District
Western Star Resources has completed a district-scale three-dimensional magnetic inversion across its Rowland and White Star tungsten properties in Elko County, Nevada, defining buried and partially exposed intrusive bodies and roughly 25 kilometres of structural fluid conduits.
The geophysical modelling, carried out by Warren Hughes of East Coast Consulting using a MAG3D algorithm, outlines an intrusive framework extending beyond previously mapped outcrops. The inversion maps geology beneath Quaternary cover on the eastern flank of the district, identifying intrusive-carbonate contacts that correspond spatially with previously reported high-grade rock-chip assays of 4.02% WO₃ at Rowland and 3.00% WO₃ at White Star.
Western Star holds the adjacent past-producing White Star project alongside Rowland, creating an approximately six-kilometre prospective exploration corridor evaluated through the district-scale geophysics.
The company entered into an option agreement to acquire the Rowland project in November 2025, and has satisfied Milestone One under the agreement by expanding the claim area and identifying four rock-chip samples grading above 2.0% WO₃. To satisfy the milestone terms, Western Star will issue 500,000 common shares to the vendors, valued at the 10-day volume-weighted average price preceding the verification date and subject to Canadian Securities Exchange policies.

The inversion has modelled intrusive bodies spatially associated with areas where we sampled high grade tungsten values, and it has mapped the faults that we believe carried the fluid there. That is the tungsten skarn recipe, and we can now see it in three dimensions across the whole district. Better still, the modelled intrusives are more extensive than has been previously mapped, which means the ground that has produced our best rock chips continues into untested areas. Soil geochemistry from Phase 2 is due back shortly and we can use these in our drill hole planning.”

Soil geochemical results from the Phase 2 program at the Rowland project are expected shortly and will be integrated with the inversion model, structural framework and geological mapping to build a targeting model ahead of upcoming drilling and permitting.
