WestGold Metals Corp. has completed its mineral property option agreement to acquire up to a 90% interest in the Amie, Silver Rock and Demming projects in Owyhee County, Idaho, issuing 5,737,000 common shares and paying CAD$100,000 in cash to Silver Rock Resources, Inc.

Under the transaction, WestGold holds the option to secure the majority interest in the Idaho properties by spending C$5,000,000 on exploration over three years. The portfolio covers 79 unpatented lode mining claims across 660.5 hectares of BLM-administered land. The flagship Amie Project spans 53 claims and features 11 adits, 4 shafts and 46 test pits, including past-producing underground workings situated within the same epithermal belt that hosts nearby regional operations.

The company is mobilising a three-person field crew to the Idaho properties in late August 2026. The team will carry out ground reconnaissance, geological mapping, surface sampling, soil sampling and targeted grab sampling to evaluate historical mineral showings and design follow-up programs.

“ We are very pleased to commence our 2026 exploration activities at the Idaho properties,” said James Hocking, Chief Executive Officer of WestGold. “These properties have seen limited modern exploration, and the initial field program will allow our geological team to evaluate the historical information, assess priority areas on the ground and develop a systematic exploration strategy for each project.”

The acquisition and upcoming field work follow the company's strategic pivot into North American precious metals exploration, which was marked by its name change from Nordique Resources Inc. in March 2026. To fund the exploration and acquisition strategy across the Idaho Portfolio, WestGold closed a private placement in June 2026 raising gross proceeds of C$2,000,000 through the issuance of 25,000,000 units.

No current mineral resources or mineral reserves have been defined on the Amie, Silver Rock or Demming projects.
