Westgold Resources Limited has declared a maiden Ore Reserve of 1.1 million ounces of gold at the Fletcher deposit, establishing a new mineable inventory at the Beta Hunt mining complex in Kambalda, Western Australia.

The maiden reserve totals 13.5 million tonnes at 2.6 grams per tonne gold and is backed by a completed pre-feasibility study, mine planning, and commercial evaluation. It follows an updated Mineral Resource for Fletcher, which has increased by approximately 30% to 40.1 million tonnes at 2.3 grams per tonne gold for 3.0 million ounces, compared to the June 2025 estimate of 31.0 million tonnes at 2.3 grams per tonne gold for 2.33 million ounces.

Indicated resources at Fletcher grew by 426% to 1.55 million ounces at 2.7 grams per tonne gold. Approximately 74% of those updated Indicated ounces have now converted into the maiden Ore Reserve, strengthening the potential for Fletcher to operate as a third mining front within the Southern Goldfields business.

Since acquiring Beta Hunt in August 2024, Westgold has lifted total Beta Hunt Ore Reserves by 201% to 21.7 million tonnes at 2.34 grams per tonne gold for 1.6 million ounces. Total Mineral Resources across the complex stand at 74.6 million tonnes at 2.25 grams per tonne gold for 5.4 million ounces, representing a 104% increase over the same period.

“Westgold's corporate strategy remains clearly focused on expanding and optimising our largest mining and processing assets to maximise free cash flow. Drilling at Beta Hunt continues to unlock material value for shareholders, with the emerging Fletcher Zone now contributing more than 1Moz of Ore Reserve and 3Moz of Mineral Resource growth.”

— Wayne Bramwell, Managing Director and CEO

The expanding scale of the deposit underpins an assessment of a 4 million-tonne-per-annum processing case. Westgold is advancing a definitive feasibility study for the larger throughput option ahead of the 2.6 million-tonne-per-annum expansion at the Higginsville processing hub.

“The increasing scale of Fletcher, and the growing confidence in its mineable inventory, now support a detailed evaluation of a 4Mtpa processing solution. Drilling will continue at Fletcher and commence at Mason, with Westgold advancing related studies, alongside key debottlenecking activities at Higginsville to support a larger processing facility.”

Upcoming technical catalysts for the project include completing the 4 million-tonne-per-annum processing expansion study and finishing an underground mass-haulage study for the Fletcher deposit. Drilling remains active across Fletcher's open northern extension, while work at the southern Mason target is also set to begin.
