Westgold Delivers Maiden 1.1Moz Ore Reserve at Fletcher

Westgold Resources Limited has delivered a maiden Ore Reserve of 1.1 million ounces of gold alongside an updated Mineral Resource of 3.0 million ounces for the Fletcher deposit at its Beta Hunt complex in Kambalda, Western Australia, shifting its development focus toward a larger regional processing facility.
The latest figures replace the previous resource base with a 30% increase in total contained ounces at Fletcher, reaching 40.1 million tonnes at 2.3 grams per tonne gold. Indicated Mineral Resource ounces climbed 426% to 1.55 million ounces at 2.7 grams per tonne. Approximately 74% of those indicated ounces successfully converted into the maiden Ore Reserve of 13.5 million tonnes at 2.6 grams per tonne gold, supported by a completed pre-feasibility study.
The expanding scale of the deposit has prompted Westgold to accelerate definitive design work on a 4 million tonnes per annum processing expansion case at Higginsville. The company is reviewing the timing of a previously approved 2.6 million tonnes per annum stage, aiming to determine whether a direct development provides a more efficient long-term pathway than a staged sequence.

Gold traded at US$4,419.70 per ounce, reflecting a 10.02% increase over a 30-day period.
To refine the operating profile, Westgold scheduled an underground mass-haulage study for Fletcher to be completed in the second half of fiscal 2027. Optimization work for the 4 million tonnes per annum expansion definitive feasibility study will run toward the end of fiscal 2027. Meanwhile, drilling continues along the northern strike extension of Fletcher, and underground testing has commenced at the Mason target to the south. Westgold expects to release its next Strategic Outlook in early September 2026, incorporating a preliminary assessment of the 4 million tonnes per annum expansion opportunity.
