Westhaven Gold Corp. (TSX-V: WHN) has released the fourth batch of assay results from its ongoing 35,000-metre resource infill drilling program at the South Zone deposit on the Shovelnose property in southern British Columbia. The company confirmed that the program is now 66% complete, with four active drill rigs focusing on 25-metre infill spacing. These results are intended to support an updated mineral resource estimate, which is a key precursor to a pre-feasibility study expected to be completed in the second half of 2027.

The latest drilling campaign has successfully intersected high-grade mineralization across both Vein Zone 1 and Vein Zone 2. Highlight intercepts from the recent batch include 27.51 metres grading 14.47 g/t gold and 52.3 g/t silver, alongside a notable individual assay of 0.52 metres grading 200 g/t gold and 141 g/t silver. Following the announcement, shares in the company closed at $0.30, representing a 3.45% increase on the day.

"Resource infill drilling of the South Zone deposit continues to return strong results, confirming the continuity of thick, high-grade gold and silver mineralization within both Vein Zone 1 and Vein Zone 2." — Ken Armstrong, President and CEO of Westhaven

In addition to the infill work, Westhaven has now deployed a fifth drill rig dedicated to a 15,000-metre exploration program. This initiative aims to test near-deposit targets and generate potential resource growth across the property. The northern extent of the current drilling has provided early indications of mineralization extending beyond the limits of the existing defined resource, specifically toward the Alpine target area.

"Interestingly this interval is located at the northern extent of the planned drilling of the deposit, indicating that exceptional gold grades continue to the north of the presently defined resource into the Alpine target area."

Westhaven maintains a substantial land package totaling 60,263 hectares across four properties within the Spences Bridge Gold Belt, emphasizing its broader strategy to explore for district-scale gold and silver systems. This expansive exploration and development work is underpinned by a strategic earn-in agreement with Dundee Corporation, which was finalized in February 2026. Under the terms of this deal, Dundee has committed to funding up to CDN$85 million in project expenditures across the four properties. The initial phase of this agreement includes a fully funded 50,000-metre drilling program that covers both the active infill efforts and the newly initiated exploration drilling, as well as the technical studies required to advance Shovelnose toward production.

The company intends to continue reporting steady flows of assay results over the coming months as it balances the objectives of refining the South Zone resource and identifying new discovery potential within the wider land position. Technical management is overseeing the sampling and quality assurance processes to ensure that all data meet the necessary standards for the upcoming resource update and feasibility studies. The 2026 field program is expected to continue through mid-December, providing a sustained stream of operational data to support the project’s advancement.
