Westward Gold Inc. has intersected 34.9 metres grading 2.91 g Au/t, including 4.1 metres of 16.15 g Au/t, in the second core hole of the 2026 program at the SSD Target within the Toiyabe Hills Property in Lander County, Nevada.

Core hole T2602 was drilled to a total depth of 116 metres, following up on structural controls identified through recent trenching and the initial T2601 core hole. The broad zone of gold mineralization is hosted in silty limestone of the Devonian Wenban Formation and is characterized by pervasive decalcification, variable silicification, carbon, pyrite, clay alteration, and breccia associated with high-angle faults. The program also logged orpiment, a bright yellow arsenic sulfide mineral acting as a key pathfinder in Carlin-type systems. True thicknesses are estimated at 50% to 70% of reported drill hole lengths.

T2601 and T2602 have verified the presence of a lamprophyre-filled fault corridor, while elevated arsenic and antimony further confirm a Carlin-type gold system. The company’s existing Plan of Operations with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management covers the SSD area, permitting timely expansions of roads, pads, and trenches. Mineralization remains open in all directions, particularly down-dip into untested structural and stratigraphic settings.

“Relentless attention to detail – as I’m often reminded of by colleagues – is what ultimately drives success in Carlin-type gold exploration, and past discoveries have much to teach us in this regard. T2602 has further confirmed that the SSD Target is a compelling opportunity, and we intend to aggressively explore the area with additional trenching, mapping, sampling and deeper drilling as near-term priorities.”

To advance the asset, Westward Gold recently completed the first reverse-circulation hole at SSD (T2603) to a depth of 396.2 metres and plans four additional deep holes to test down-dip extensions of gold mineralization in the hanging-wall of Fault-N.

The exploration work is supported by an expanded land position covering approximately 70 square kilometres across 847 claims. Financial backing for the ongoing drilling was bolstered by a C$5.0 million private placement closed in October 2025, which included participation from strategic investors Crescat Capital and Concept Capital Management.
