Wheaton Precious Metals Delivers Record Q2 Revenue of $929M and $650M Cash Flow
Wheaton Precious Metals Corp. generated a record $929 million in revenue, $543 million in net earnings, and $650 million in operating cash flow during the second quarter of 2026.
The financial results surpassed the performance of previous periods, driven by higher realized metal prices and increased sales volumes. In the second quarter of 2024, operating cash flow stood at $234 million. For the first half of 2026, Wheaton posted record revenue of $1.8 billion, net earnings of $1.1 billion, and operating cash flow of $1.4 billion.
Attributable gold equivalent production reached 202,200 ounces in the second quarter, marking a 6% increase relative to the same period in 2025. The growth in output was attributed primarily to the acquisition of the precious metals purchase agreement with BHP Group Limited for its portion of silver produced at Antamina, alongside ongoing production contributions from the Hemlo, Fenix, Platreef, and Goose mines.
Average cash costs rose to $568 per gold equivalent ounce in the second quarter, compared with $406 per ounce in the second quarter of 2025. However, higher realized prices expanded the cash operating margin by 65% to $3,875 per gold equivalent ounce sold.
During the quarter, Wheaton drew down a new $1.5 billion non-revolving credit facility and upsized its existing revolving credit facility by $500 million to $2.5 billion, extending its maturity to June 30, 2031. As of June 30, 2026, the company held $100 million in cash and had $2.0 billion in total debt outstanding, resulting in net debt of $1.9 billion. Total available liquidity reached $2.6 billion, including the revolving facility's $500 million accordion feature.
The board declared a quarterly dividend of $0.195 per common share. The company made net upfront cash payments of $4.5 billion during the quarter for mineral stream interests, predominantly directed toward the Antamina transaction.
Haytham Hodaly assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer on March 31, 2026, succeeding Randy Smallwood, who transitioned to non-executive Chair of the Board.
Wheaton reaffirmed its full-year 2026 production guidance, expecting attributable output between 400,000 and 430,000 ounces of gold, 27 to 29 million ounces of silver, and 19,000 to 21,000 gold equivalent ounces of other metals.
On August 6, 2026, Wheaton shares closed at $175.79, up 1.92% on the day.
