Xcite Uranium Inc. has commenced a 1,200-metre, three-hole diamond drilling program at the past-producing Lorado Uranium Project near Uranium City, Saskatchewan.

The campaign is backed by an approved 2026 budget of approximately $1.1 million, which includes $225,000 allocated for completed fieldwork and $875,000 dedicated to the drilling phase. Apex Drilling is carrying out the program, utilizing crews based out of Uranium City.

The drilling is designed to test for structurally controlled Beaverlodge-type mineralization and basement-hosted unconformity-style mineralization. Targets correspond with electromagnetic conductors and magnetic breaks associated with radon anomaly clusters and anomalous soil geochemistry.

The Lorado project is held under an option agreement where Eagle Plains Resources granted Xcite the exclusive right to earn up to an 80% interest. Historical operations at the site between 1957 and 1960 produced 95,000 tonnes grading 0.19% U3O8.

The current work marks a shift from earlier phases. A May 2024 project update was restricted to data compilation and recommendations for preliminary fieldwork, whereas the ongoing program follows completed geochemical and geophysical surveys that mapped approximately 8.2 kilometres of northeast-trending linear electromagnetic conductor anomalies.

Xcite is also active across other regional holdings in the Athabasca Basin. Partner-backed exploration in the district includes reported drill results at its Don Lake project by Eagle Plains Resources Ltd., which intersected anomalous radioactivity across the initial three diamond drill holes of its 2026 campaign.
