Yandal Resources (ASX: YRL) has released promising new assay results from diamond drilling at its Ironstone Well gold project in Western Australia. The latest data, derived from the second completed diamond hole, 26IWBRC0098DA, confirms the continuity of mineralization within fresh rock beneath the established Flushing Meadows deposit.

The hole returned a significant intercept of 4.8m at 2.3g/t gold from 175.2m, which includes a higher-grade zone of 1m at 6.5g/t gold from 178m. These diamond core results build upon previously reported assays from the hole’s RC pre-collar, which returned 20m at 1.7g/t gold from 55m. Together, these findings indicate that the mineralised system is more extensive than the current 268koz resource estimate suggests.

Beyond confirming depth extensions, the drilling has identified several sub-parallel mineralised structures located in the hanging-wall to the east of the current deposit. These structures remain open along strike and at depth, presenting an immediate opportunity for the company to expand the scale of its known inventory through a systematic, geologically driven exploration strategy.

"It is becoming very clear from these initial results that mineralisation constrained within the current Flushing Meadows Mineral Resource Estimate only captures a small part of the Flushing Meadows mineralised system."

"Results have both demonstrated strong mineralisation continuity within fresh rock below the current MRE, and identified several new, parallel and shallow mineralised structures that remain open at depth and along strike."

To further assess the potential of these parallel hanging-wall structures, Yandal Resources has already completed four follow-up RC holes. These holes aim to test the continuity of the newly identified mineralisation as it extends into fresh rock. Meanwhile, the company continues its broad-scale air-core program across both the Flushing Meadows and Giedi Prime target areas, with approximately 8,000 metres drilled across 89 holes to date.

Investors can expect a steady flow of news from the project in the coming weeks. The company has confirmed that assay results from the remaining six diamond holes at Flushing Meadows are expected in August 2026. Additionally, the results from the four follow-up RC holes designed to define the hanging-wall structures are also slated for release during the same month. These upcoming data sets are expected to provide further clarity on the footprint and overall growth potential of the Flushing Meadows system.
